Went out for a ride today

The snow is gone, but still cold with 1C = 33F. Waited until 4PM for the rain to stop, then took her out for a ride.

Looks alot like Kansas. Wide open. I am surrounded by fields and cows.

Beautiful!

Except for the color green and the trees it could pass for Eastern Washington as well. :D

Weldangrind 02-03-2013 01:29 AM

Beautiful machine! Thanks for the pics.

The elevation on those pictures are about at 1400 feet elevation. The town I live in is about 900 feet above see level and is in the palatinate forest. Next time I go up to our "local" castle with my dog Julie I will take some pictures.

Julie is lovely. Please give her a pat on the head for me.

FastDoc 02-03-2013 11:51 PM

What kind of dog is she? Beautiful! :D

Trailbikeryder 02-04-2013 04:42 PM

Thanks. She is a mix between a tibetan terrier and a pudel. So she has some chinese in her too! She is very smart and even with 10 years she still learns new tricks.
Here are two videos.

She's amazing at playing dead! Cooper the Shop Dog isn't anywhere near as convincing, despite trying to tell him that dead dogs don't wag their tails.

Your V-Raptor looks great! I'm glad you got to go for a ride. :) I eagerly await the arrival of spring! ;)

The last photographs you posted remind me of the Allegheny Mountains in my native Pennsylvania. :)

Julie is a beautiful dog, and very intelligent! Thank you for sharing the videos of her performing tricks. :) I agree with Weldangrind; Julie does an amazing job of playing dead! ;)

Here in the United States, we would say Julie was "playing possum." The opossum is a marsupial indiginous to North America, which pretends to be dead when it is threatened. Opossums are very convincing! ;)

Here is Kansas we have armadillos. They jump up into the air when frightened. You see alot of dead ones along the road since they will jump right in front of a car. Instead of a car or truck driving over them they jump up and get hit by the bumper or front of the vehicle.

@SpudRider
I see. They are cute little animals. Do they bite or just pretend? My dad was from Palmerton PA. I was never there though.

@katoranger
I have a brother in Wichita, but have never been there either. He told me that it is alot like Germany.

katoranger 02-07-2013 11:02 AM

I have never been to Germany, but from the pictures I can see some similarities.
