I just want understand and make sure that I do not have to get a new stator or whatever powers up my battery for operating a Baja Headlight and Rear Light. My manual says 12V 35W/35W.

Why does it say 35w/35w ? 12V would be my battery.

With Baja head lights and the different bulbs you can get out there, would this make a difference in having to upgrade something else on my bike for this to work properly?

There are so many different Baja Product headlights, what one would you guys suggest, I was looking at this one here. Ill send link what do you think?

Spud if your hear, I cant find that link about that Light Switch you sent me, could you help me find it?

Ive been searching all over trying to find the best price on a Baja Headlight in Canada, Ill show you a link that Im kinda confused on.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Honda-Red-Baj...36a0d6&vxp=mtr

Is this a good headlight and rear? it comes with a switch I believe.

Thanks

Why does it say Honda Enduro Headlight Kit - 31-0260 on it, compared to the other Baja headlights like this one http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Baja-Designs-...b8ce97&vxp=mtr

Then there is this one, why different numbers?
are they the same kind of light or different brains inside?:p

Check w/ multimeter 1st.
taobao.com ( Weldangrind is the Canadian expert about this alternative option ) had many goodies (1 of them http://x2moto.taobao.com/) if it's a winter project.

The first headlight is Honda Red in color; that is the only difference. The different colors have different product numbers. ;)

Spud and Weld.

So I ended up buying this
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Honda-Red-Baj...36a0d6&vxp=mtr

It comes with a switch already hopefully it will work properly with my bike.
If you have any doubts let me know asap so I can cancel my buy on ebay.

Weld, It also comes with the back light with that kit, so I wont need that fender you offered me. Much appreciated to do that for me. I have much respect for you.

So yeah if you have any doubts on that Headlight and rear Tail light and switch let me know asap. I also got that wicked bulb you told me about, that cost me 25$ dollars.

I got my carb in and also the new jets, Im going to take my time and make sure I don't wreck anything. If I get into any troubles Ill keep you guys posted.

Thanks again guys!:thanks:

You will need to modify the connectors, but I can't see any reason why that headlight and tail light shouldn't work. ;)

Modifiying Connectors! Hell Ya!

When I get the Headlight and Tail Light in with the switch it comes with, modifying the connectors, the connectors on the bike needs to be modified as well, or just the ones on the lights / switch? :yay:

For example, I know that my headlight on the bike has 4 wires for its connector.. can you give me some examples what you mean by modifying these bad boys when they come in

At the back of my bike now, I have I believe a 3 wire connector and then the rest are single wires, I believe for the signal lights. I am not yet putting signals blinkers on the bike yet, just the rear and front light. :thanks:

Bike Shop is 5 mins down the road!

If I will need new connectors, I have a supply shop down the road that deals with fixing ATV/MOTO/DIRT.
They would have the pieces I need or maybe I need to get them from ebay? Any tips on doing this properly. Would I have to cut wire Solder new connector on ?

:hehe:

Spud! Weld!

Do you like hand guards on bikes? Does it make a big difference, my friend was driving my bike and he did tell me his hands started to get cold.

The hand guards for bikes, are they pretty much all the same?
What kind of hand guards would you recommend?

:thanks:

You need to hook the three appropriate wires from you wiring harness to an H4 connector. The H4 connector will plug into the bulb which comes with your headlight. You can buy an H4 connector at eBay, or at any auto parts store.

After you install the tail light/brake light, you need to connect the three appropriate wires together. I solder spade connectors to the wires so I can hook them together.

Wires and Connectors

4 Attachment(s)
Hi Spud!

Thanks for posting those pictures, Im more a visual learner:)

Okay, so to confirm with you.. I will need to get only one of these H4 connector. Why does it show two connectors? This connector / connectors will be soldered to the Baja Light wires and then the light bulb that comes with the light will fit into this connector with the 3 little slits in it. Im still confused about why there is two connectors. Also I did buy that super cool LED light bulb that I seen in a post a few days ago. I believe you have one as well or Weld has one and loves it. Will this new LED fit into this connector. The other bulb that comes with the Baja Light Ill just store away later down the road and use as a backup. What is the difference in lighting quality from the bulb that's actually comes with the Baja Headlight, compared to this LED bulb that I got for like 20-30 Dollars. \

I still don't really understand that much about how to hook up the switch / Light etc. The other connectors that you posted http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...ade+connectors

What one is this one for? also where does it hook up too?

Also with this connector
http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...ade+connectors

Oh wait I understand now. the top link is the female connector and the bottom is the male connector.

So my question is, what wire would these connect to, and only one wire would go inside? or would it be more then one wire..

Tomorrow when I get some time, Ill take a pic of the back of the bike with the wires coming out for the rear light / blinkers.

Also the front of the bike with the wires coming out.:thanks:
What I was trying to figure out is that I looked into the electrical diagram for my bike, and I found the connector with the 4 wires coming out for the headlight. I tried to find the power source out of the 4 wires, and I cant seem to get any power out of any wire from that connector.

Im curious maybe it gets the power from the switch to power those 4 wires to make it work.

Anyways that's another day of figuring out. Ill find these connectors tomorrow see if that shop carries any of them.

Oh yeah another thing is that, when I put my back break on will my back rear tail light go on, and how does that work? Is there more connectors or something I need to set up on the rear break peddle.

I also want to take some more pictures of under the seat area there are some connectors there with nothing connected to it.

I also don't know what these things are, Ill send you a picture.
Sorry about all these questions, its all al learning experience for me.

Thanks Spud;)

The first photograph appears to be the regulator/recifier which charges your battery.

You only need one of the H4 connectors; that eBay vendor is selling a pair. You much connect the H4 connector to your wiring harness. ;)

Weldangrind 11-01-2014 11:26 AM

The second pic is your ignition coil. The third pic is the steering lock. The fourth pic is the CDI (capacative discharge ignition) on the left and likely a signal flasher on the right. Even though your bike was never equipped with signal lights, it looks like the parts are there. They probably used the same harness at the factory for either dirt or dual sport.

I do not have an LED light, but I might try one now that Lifanda's light has burned out.
