Marshin Cheetah 200

Hi Guys

I have had a 2005 Marshin Cheetah for about 1 year. It is registered and warranted for road use and I use it on the odd trail ride also.

I have had the usual problems with loose nuts and bolt, and loctite has been my favourite friend!

I also have a spare rear cog to put on when I get round to it. My current one has 50 teeth, going down to 40 to help with the road town riding.

As far as I can see it is the same as the lifan 200GY models and has the 163FML? motor. Also I have seen them around with Kazuma branding.

I have gone through one speedo unit and 1 speedo cable and it appears that my speedo has died again. Anything I can do to prolong the life of it when it gets replaced?

Also, as I am slightly larger in stature than the people this bike is intended for, any ways that I can firm up the suspension? I see that it appears that the rear shock has some form of adjustment, however being a noob down have the tools to adjust it. I assume you use a "C-Spanner" to loose the nuts?

I have put around 4000kms on the bike since new.

You can add oil to the speedo cable. They usually come oiled through the center sheath. The main thing is to avoid sharp turns when running the cable.

The shock can also be adjusted using a flat blade screw driver and a hammer to turn the two adjustment nuts. Be careful like a dentist and it can be done without any problem. Otherwise, buy the correct spanner wrench.

Thanks for that, will try the flat blade screw driver tonight and see how I go!

If yours is like mine then the bottom one is the locking nut, so it has to be loosened first.

Best of luck,
Jason
