Greetings & a question....
 
Hey y'all I am from Texas I am looking at a hawk 250 and I am joining here to save my self lonesome trouble shooting.... Now do the Chinese make a bike 300+cc for American import? I know they make them I cant for the life of me find them any where (In the USA).... Thanks!!

John...great name, same as that guy with the toe tag.

These bikes are gradually increasing in power, just a couple years ago the tops were mainly 200cc in the cheap China Realm. Your right ,just 250cc(class) for now here . There are 400cc in street coming in the fall with genuine.400. And 450cc s in Mx versions.

My opinion , they have massive tooling for the 250 architecture in Asia, also cheap to produce and they have carved out the niche market for the 250 with their target demographic. . Costs rise quickly with higher hp causing parity with Japanese market. $5000 is the upper limit for Chinese bikes, at that point customer will migrate to Japan proven quality.
