Hi folks, what do you think of these saddle bags? I kinda like them. What am I not considering?

They look nice! I think they would look good on a Hawk. Keep us posted!

Those are nice.

For 52 bucks, you may as well go ahead and get them coming this way. What about the panning bars?

I just purchased those 2 weeks ago. ! I used them on a 100 mile ride in the state forest here in Pa ,,,definitely could use some panniers bars to the them onto. They no r around a bit ,but not enough to get into the rear wheel or cause trouble. They have a second zipper that allows them to become very wide,,,shown here

Super simple soft bag bars can be cheaply made with some conduit and a conduit bender. Pick a couple mount points on each side, bend the bar as needed to hold the bag up away from the rear tire, flatten the ends, drill a hole for the mount points. A simple hoop shape will be plenty strong to support the weight those bags are rated for.

I have those same bags on my scooter. I made a custom frame from SS and HDPE. Pix here:

update

So I found these on Ebay and offered $45. We will see if they bite. Buy it now was $57. If they go for 45 with shipping it will be under $50. I'm always looking for a deal.

I just bought these:

A 4-pack for $15, free shipping for $25 orders. I figure I can make something work.

I would be curious to see how they hold up to constant wind exposure if they are being used as a saddle bag. In any case, they are definitely cheap enough that you won't be too sad if one rips lol.

I could see one or two of those being very handy as a tail bag if you had a rack to secure them to. When not in use they could be flattened out. Good for grocery runs.
