1973 Suzuki RV125 Tracker

A buddy of mine picked up a couple of Suzuki RV125 Trackers a few weeks ago. He texted me few days later and said that he wanted to sell them, and asked if I was interested. Of course I was. He gave me a great deal on the pair and the deal was done. He is located in Ohio and I’m planning a trip to go out and pick them up soon. These bikes are 2-stroke and one as all the original street equipment. My plan is to restore both of them, if possible.

The RV125’s are now in the rotation behind my SR500 for restoration. I plan to keep the green one!

Great bikes. One of my early motorcycles was one of these with the street equipment removed. It later ended up becoming a reverse trike something like a Trimagnum kit car. Funny little fact is that the front wheel will fit the rear hub if you want to run 14" tires front and rear. Might make it easier to grab hold of some ATV tires or similar.

That’s great information. I’m glad that I have two of them.

Glad it could be of use. The wheels are of two piece design as you have probably noticed. If you were to lean more street oriented you could probably get away with running car tires front and rear.

The bikes each come with a new set of tires. I may put the 14” wheels and tires on one of the bikes.

Thanks!

No problem, We figured this stuff out with mine as it seemed to be difficult to get the proper tires for it at the time.

Similar to how Skyteam's DAX replicas uses a majority of replica DAX parts, Skyteam's version of the RV90/125 uses many replica parts. The RV replicas never caught on like the CT70 replicas (although Pitster Pro still shows its Sherpa model on its sight) in my opinion due to getting replacement tires. I do recall member Paul Pollard from the UK (forgot his handle) of mychinamoto (who went on to found the DAX/CT-70 group on Facebook and dropped out of these groups for the most part) had one and loved it until he needed replacement tires. He now has a couple DAX replicas and loves them. The point is, if you need to 'cheat' on some parts and can find a Skyteam/Pitster Sherpa for cheap, scoop it up.
