Broken shock bushing!?

Found the source of my suspension's "squeaka-squeaka" noise. Plenty of grease, it wasn't seized, it appears to be poor metallurgy :(

Looks like I have to replace the entire linkage to get just this part. For now, I welded it back together and then turned it back down to round with my metal lathe. I'll order some bar stock and turn a new one after my upcoming trip.

With shipping that's actually more expensive than ordering it from CSC.

So, as it turns out CSC *does* sell the parts to rebuild the linkage. The pics are not on the microfiche, but the part numbers are:

Z65-104 REAR SUBASSEMBLY BUSH, ROCKING FRAME II
Z65-115 NEEDLE BEARING HK2020

Total was under $14 including shipping. (Parts were under $7, shipping was just over $7)

I re-used my rubber seals because they came out without any damage.

This is a great example of the CSC model working the way it's supposed to. If you get in touch they can usually fix you up with most bits and pieces.

I did check my bolts for tightness today for that lower shock mount area. I had to snug them up as they were a bit on the loose side.

And to add I did pull this all apart and cleanup and regrease those bearings. All looked ok I'm sure I put too much grease back in lol and also torqued to spec.
