Negative This is for the Zongshen NC250 overhead cam, water cooled motor that comes in the RX3 and Pitster Pro.

Shipping

Let's not get too excited folks.

I just received an email from them this morning stating that they heard from the shipper and it was going to be 53.55 shipping instead of 8 bucks.

I'd say 165.00 is still a decent deal??????????? You say??????

Its still a very good deal.

I was wondering on the shipping as they have the kit listed as 200 grams, when it's probably over 2000 grams. I have not heard back yet.

Update: Just received the email. $53 to ship

Has anyone here had successful dealings with Yoycartcom?

My credit card company is freaking out about the charges and I just got an email from yoycart saying that my payment is suspect.

:hmm:

Never dealt with them before. Nothing odd here yet with the exception of the email about shipping. I'll keep my eyes peeled..........
Nothing has hit my card yet.
I mis-keyed the first order and placed one without payment info. It showed as "unpaid". I clicked on it and wrote them to cancel that order and they did....so there's at least activity.
The second order I gave them payment info on, I wrote them an email and asked what the total would be. Waiting to hear back.

CCC, keep us posted on your situation. I sure hope these folks work out to be a decent vendor. We need more of them.

Balance

Anyone installing a kit like this, remember to check the weight of the assembled piston. It should be within 4% of the original to avoid excessive vibration that can damage engine parts.

Good advice.

I didn't weigh mine before install... but the miles I have put on it have been smooth and vibration free as a thumper can be.

Chonda, can you give us any detailed thoughts on your install of this 300cc setup? was it worth it power wise? Big increase? Did power of engine change much? Gas mileage go down much? Easy to install or not? Did you have to do anything with carburetor or fuel injection or ignition ? Or was it a simple straight across swap of parts and you were good to go? Thanks rj

Worth it power wise - yes. It's not just the added cc's, but more compression. The motor pulls harder at all rpms across the spectrum. It's not going to turn it into a 50hp MX king, but it's a nice solid bump.

I have not noticed that the gas mileage is much different. I did notice that the first few times out on the big bore my wrist was getting sore- I realized it was because I was having to modulate the throttle at a lower opening which made it sore.

Very easy install. I'm a rookie on motors and it was pretty easy on the LXR. In chassis.

The EFI adjusted with zero issues. I would say it starts far better than before- possibly due to the unshrouding of the valves in the bigger cylinder.

Pretty simple swap on the LXR; probably a little more teardown on the RX3.

Well, China being where it is, I didn't receive an email confirming the final cost until 7-something, last night. Monday must start earlier there.

Total cost confirmed at 164.65 and I told them that was fine and please ship the order. I'm glad they asked for approval instead of just hosing me down unannounced.

Though you can tell there's a slight language barrier, the person has been very cordial and polite. Hopefully things will move forward smoothly from this point. I've never ordered from a direct China vendor before.

2LZ, My experience with direct ordering from China was positive. I bought a couple thermostat housings for my RX3 in order to change over to a hotter thermostat (required milling out a deeper pocket for the new 'stat). The transaction was kinda stilted but everything worked exactly as described. Shipping cost was reasonable considering the distance. Heck, for $165 the 300cc kit sounds like a no brainer.

As an aside, if your kit works out as planned maybe we should think about a larger order and thus spread the shipping cost over more units. A 20% increase in displacement is significant. The cooling system is already over sized. My only concern is with the crankshaft and balance shaft no longer being balanced for the larger piston. When you get your kit please weigh the piston and compare to OEM.

Peter Y.
