Amazon/E-bay Hawk cluster accuracy.....

Just an FYI but i am NOT the one selling clusters on Amazon & Ebay. I believe they are the same person though. I have gotten multiple e-mails that these clusters read 3-4 mph high. This will also throw off the odometer. It's programmed this way for "safety" from what my manufacturer has told me. Mine are programmed to be accurate to + - 1 mph. It took a lot of back and forth but i got my MFG to agree to this............

I'm one that can confirm yours's is accurate. 5400 + miles on the cluster and still going.

As a Public service announcement to all. If you need to enter your wheel circumference the best way to find the number is on concrete scribe a chalked line on the tire and ground. This is the start point. Roll the bike in a straight line and chalk the point the wheels pass 6 o’clock . Tape measure the distance. find the average of 3 lines and that’s your circumference number. I test rode 15 miles and had a 1/10 mile discrepancy to the GPS.

mjstef is a good cluster zero hassle.

Also yours in 19 inch mode isn't accurate as it needs to be in 17 inch for TBR7

I bought several in China and fitted them to bikes while in the USA and the 3 fixed point of wheel size was just like yours and accurate but not the 19 inch.

the system of trimming the circumference of the tyre is best so no matter what wheel size 14 - 22 inch it will always and can always be set perfectly within 1%

Storm isn't all too complex once you have the right meter, extra loom part and gear switch etc

Have had multiple people fit to the storm. Takes a bit of work but it will work....

It is switchable to 3 tire sizes....

E-mail from the mfg in China....

"The setting is like this: you disconnect the purple wire, then press the button, then start the bike.

short press to select 17,19,21 inch wheel size.

the default value we have for your meter is 21 inch, as you showed us your wheel size.

and one thing need you to know, all our meter speed shows 5%-10% higher than the actual speed, for the sake of driving safety.

it is a industrial hidden rule. "

There’s a few bits missing to fit the Storm, I’ve had someone send pics n if system correct with just some tweaks and parts it will suit just fine apart from needing to make a mount.

They aren't lying, all bikes I've had are about 10% optimistic. I went for a ride with my dad and wondered why the hell is was doing 5 under the speed limit and why people were riding our ass. At the gas station I asked him how fast he was going and he said "the speed limit" which was 50mph, mine said 45. Same thing on my Honda vtx, we did the speed limit according to the speedo and we were only doing 45 according to GPS. We both use the GPS speedo on the cruisers now and the digital cluster on my storm is +-1mph so it's good.

You can put just about any cluster on any bike if you're resourceful and have a basic understanding of electrical design.

Here’s one with gear ind
This is the storm type?

I have the Amazon cluster installed and mine reads 2-3 mph high acording to gps and Trail Tech Endurance II which was measured and gps validated as “perfect”
Still completely happy with the digital cluster. There is no way to confirm the original miles on the Hawk because the original cluster broke at 1400 miles. Then completely unknown miles after that. Because of this I am not concerned with the odometer descrepence reading slightly higher.

There’s a couple people selling on EBay direct fit Hawk and TBR7 clusters
Get the right seller and it’s got universal adjustments for all wheel sizes and accurate as it can be due to the adjustment being centimeters of the tire circumference and adjustments are by the 1cm
