Looking for a "kit" bike

Hi, so glad i found this site! As the title says I am looking a kit bike that i can assemble at my shop. I have found lots of alibaba sellers with almost any part i can think of. Besides the frame. I would also just prefer to have most of it/ all of the parts come from one seller. Thanks!

What type ,size ,bike are you looking for ?

Are you in the US? You won't be able to import a bike from China due to EPA regulations if you are in the US (at least one without EPA certification).

Hypothetically speaking, could you buy a roller and add an engine? That's how some kit cars are sold to work around the EPA rules.

I know that PCC motors used to sell some half decent pitbike rollers at some point in the past. Is there enough interest to make a business of that for full size bikes?

I had thought of the roller idea, but I think you won't be able to register the bike if you are planning to street register it. Perhaps some states will allow you to register a kit, however.

Years ago I built a Bimota ,and I almost bought an Egli kit when I had too many smacked bikes in the yard ,there was something that looked like a Ural ,and a Chinese BMW looking thing ,not sure if they are still around but many people who buy kits never finish them so you might be able to find an unfinished one .There was somebody selling ct70 and z50 kits not long ago as well .

Quite a few of the big V-twin custom choppers are legally speaking "kits" ,so more states than not have means of registering them.

The 5150 hardknock bobbers are the only kit bikes I remember. Chinese made kits sold by US dealers.
