Benelli TNT300 vs Honda CB300F

Nice article on the little Chinese made Benelli TNT and the Honda.
The Benelli is only a few hundred bucks less than the Honda, but it is a better freeway commuter.

This is the second SSR bike to win a comparison in a short period of time. I think the top speed of the Benelli would make it my choice. Not that I am a speed demon, but any extra ooomph at the top end, and the ability to maintain it, would suit me better. Not necessarily on my daily commute, but if I decided to ride the 175 or so miles to San Diego on Interstate 8 (posted at 70 mph most of the way through California) or the same distance to Phoenix the other direction (75 mph posted speed in AZ), or heading north on Highway 95 to Lake Havasu (a 65 mph two-lane), the extra cruising speed and passing speed would help.

A twin always going to be better than a single...
maybe they should have lined it up beside an R3...

still a nice wee bike... we need a ADV version...

We don't have an R3 naked bike to compare it to in the US--Honda is it. They should have added the (Chinese made) Suzuki GW250 to the comparison, although the 250 is slightly down on power compared to both bikes' 300s. We are getting (or already have the Versys 300), but that is more of an adv-style bike.

Good point about the Suzi GW250. Like the TNT, the GW has above average power and way above average weight for a 250.
The TNT is overweight because it utilizes a frame for a larger 500cc bike. The 250s from Hyosung are cradled by a frame designed for a 600cc bike too.

I forgot about the Hyosung--that could have been thrown into the comparison. Then again, these are 300's, so I see why they did not include the GW or Hyosung--but it would have made it more interesting to have a four bike comparison.
