Trailmaster 300x Side by Side
I just got one of these, arrived today. Reluctant driver didn't want to unload without a tractor and more bodies. But I persuaded him and with a bit of juggling we got it on the back of my trailer.
I got it from PowersportsMax as they had the best price. Didn't take long to arrive too. 8 days from day of order. Pretty impressed. Came from Tx not Ca as I thought. I ordered Yellow, and got it but it has a bunch of stickers all over it that I didn't want and half are peeling off anyway. :wtf: Also has Trailmaster TBM 300 stickers on it? I thought this was a Challenger 300x?, still, as far as I can see, it's the same vehicle. I still have to do all my checks yet. I think it has had another crate on top as it has worn a nice groove into the windshield, so I'm going to need that replacing. The cardboard box that usually slips over these was in shreds and the nice driver made sure none of it was left on his truck. I started unpacking it and got as far as taking the metal cage of the top and peeling the cling wrap off. Looked to be in reasonable condition overall. Like I say, I need to go over everything yet. As this is Michigan the temperature has plummeted and I was getting frost bite so I had to call it a night. I know how you all love the crate pics and I got a couple. I'll get them up soon. :) |
Can't wait to see the photos! I know it has been winter forever and a day, but have you started or ridden your Storm recently, or in the past few months?

Welcome back now that you have your trail master to write about. Looking foward to the pics

I'm pumped about this UTV. I knew the weather would turn as soon as I got it.. man, those tools soon suck any warmth from you. Depending on the temps, I'll nibble a bit more at it this evening. I'm off Friday so I'm hoping to give it a test run then. Cheers. :) |

2nd pic shows where the axle restraints collapsed du to the extra weight (I'm guessing) And the 3rd shows the damaged screen/ shield...
Below, after peeling a few layers off and pulling the wheels, bull bars and roll cage out of the cockpit. And that's as far as I got :) |
I came close to pulling the trigger on the same unit when I ordered my daughter Cazador 180 XL but decided at the last minute on a Hawk 250. I may still order one.

There were braces to hold the swing arm steady (just this side. I jacked it up, a bit, fitter the shocker and slid on one wheel.. Then the other. Grinning big at this point.

Looking good so far. If it's anything like my daughter Cazador your going to love it Especially with the water cooled 300. Looks like the same frame and body just bigger engine.

Pretty much the same deal on the front.. Shocks were already installed so easier. Tires were deflated so they could fit them inside the foot well. I decided to leave them flat so it didn't roll away from me when I unloaded it.
That worked great and she rolled off slowly and easily. Then I put some air in and it really started looking like it should. I slotted in the roll cage to get the effect.. Nothing tight and still a way to go but I'm pretty pleased. Wife loves it. Can't wait to try it out. |
