Wind Storm knock the bike over!

We had a storm so freakin' hard last night it knocked the hawk over on its right side, onto concrete and nearly into the car parked next to it. We were having tornado warnings, but I never expected this to happen. My son-in-law and I went out and righted the bike; I expected it to be trashed! So far as I can tell, the only damage (cosmetically) was a little bit of a scratch on the windshield, and the shield was askew. Once it warms up, I will go out and examine it further. Funny thing, when I first took delivery of the bike, I was making fun of the turn signals, how they droop slightly, etc. Well, now I am glad of that because if I'd had rigid ones, they'd be broken. I hope the impact didn't do any other damage I cannot see. I plan to take it over to my son-in-law's and do a thorough inspection of it. It blows my mind that wind catching in a bike cover could push it all the way over the other direction (you know how these hawks lean). Insane. Dodged a bullet.

Well that sucks. Glad it didn't get too much damage. If you need some stock turn signals, I think I have a set laying around somewhere I could send you. I sold the Hawk, so don't need them.

The handlebars moved back slightly which saved it. The right rear signal was bent over but I fixed it (the mounting bracket bent). the windshield and the cheap barkbusters took a hit too. The controls on the right side were moved and I had to move them back. A good argument for not having them too tight! anyway. I dodged the bullet. Here is the pics.

Well I went to take the bike over to daughters and it was way way crooked lol. I had to loosen and straighten the forks. Took me a minute with some help but got them straight, and took it on highway briefly, its okay now. still gotta get those tires mounted and the rear rim is going out of true. soon soon soon. hehe. btw Jerry thanks for the offer bro but mine still work, albeit a little banged up. Save those one for someone else who will need them on the forum. Take care.

It's great to hear that you were able to straighten out the forks on your bike after the wind storm incident. It's important to ensure everything is aligned properly for safety and performance. Best of luck with getting the tires mounted and addressing the rear rim issue. Stay safe on the road, @Zapkin!
