Beautiful machine. I'd be proud to be seen on that one.

How do you like the hydraulic clutch?

Weldangrind 09-24-2012 12:46 PM

That looks awesome! I would promptly get rid of that shifter and install a spring-loaded version. It can save your engine case and shifter shaft.

FastDoc 09-24-2012 12:48 PM

I really like the clean minimalist design. In addition to Weld's recommendation I would consider removing the chain guard. With all the warning stickers it does look especially busy.

Weldangrind 09-24-2012 12:49 PM

I'm also not a big fan of reflectors; it just more stuff that can drop onto the trail.

KDocherty 09-24-2012 01:13 PM

i really like that as said above i love the minimalist look too.

I hope i can get my bike down on weight but still road legal.

thanks guys

the last picture is the original buyer's, when it was 100% stock. You can see in the other pics i removed to chain guard. The hydro-clutch is sweeeet, very fluid....like butter :) I didnt do a proper photo shoot yet, its coming

-Fixed the burnt starter wire
-NGK DR8EA
-New gas lines
-New fuel filter ( it didnt come with a fuel filter! )
-Hydro-clutch <--- Worth every penny
-Carb Cleaning PZ30
-Mikuni 30mm carb just arrived !!!(needs jets) NOT INSTALLED YET
-Originally i had opened up the stock air box
-Gutted that horribly engineered air box
-Installed 42mm Intake <--- Strongly recomended !!!
-Im on my second oil change in maybe 10hours

This weekend ill be installing the Mikuni carb, possibly a new chain aswell XD
many pics to come, possibly a video aswell
cheers, thanks guys

spring-loaded eh.... can you provide me with a link? thanks boss

FastDoc 09-24-2012 02:08 PM

A quick overview of the internet shows hydraulic clutches for my bike are in the $225-$250 range.

450-WheelieBoyz 09-24-2012 02:16 PM

47$ for the hydro clutch and an air filter delivered to my door.
40$ brand new Mikuni 30mm delivered to my door.

Seller - Description
tecoparts - Carburetor Carb ATV Dirt Bike Quad Honda MIKUNI 30mm
digital2brother - 42mm Air Filter Cleaner 250cc ATV Quad Dirt Pit Bike + GOLD CLUTCH LEVER HYDRAULIC MASTER CYLINDER DIRT BIKE

Fastdoc, i think your going to specific on this one. Measure your current cable length, take measurement of your current clutch lever arm
go on ebay...check out the specs....if it fits , there you go.

* i saw hydro-clutch kits in price range aswell, dig and you shalll find!

Not sure if this one is correct, but this is the idea: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/MSR-Folding-S...item564c6a4977 Check with the seller to determine if the length and bend are correct.

450-WheelieBoyz 09-24-2012 06:18 PM

ohhhh a folding shifter to match the folding clutch that would be nice. I should have probably ordered a folding shifter as well i saw he was selling some for cheap, i thought it was pure esthetics i didnt notice that they were folding...

450-WheelieBoyz 09-24-2012 06:25 PM

P.S. i felt really ashamed calling the bike shop for jets today....The parts guy->"Jets for what bike? give me the Make and Model, and ill get them for you" Me ->"uuuhhh I need jets for a Mikuni 30mm round slider carb i ordered off ebay"

That pause before i spoke was me not being overly proud of my ride and knowing that they don't take you seriously if you said Gio, Liftan, or zongshen or something they are going to tell to call a pocket bike store or something.

FastDoc 09-24-2012 06:49 PM

I don't get why a person would EVER be rude, much less to a paying customer. Last I checked the economy is in the crapper and people should feel blessed to have WORK, period. Much less use the opportunity to crap on a guy with an off brand bike.

Sorry about that. It's off my chest now.
