lifan sport bike
 

Anyone here have the lifan sport bike? How do you like it... how does it compare to a real sport bike (ninja, etc)?

The A. Lifan LF200(III) is just that, an SOHC {Single Over Head Cam} engined 200cc Sport Bike. They are a great starter bike and top speed is about 70 mph.
It can't even be compared to the Ninja 250, since the ninja is a 250 and DOHC {Dual Over Head Cam} engine.

Thanks for the info, I was just a bit curious, I already have my lifan gy5 and my kawasaki cruiser... Sort of itching to try out a sport bike, though I may just wait for demo days and see how I like the kawasakis and such... hey speaking of that, you should talk A. Lifan into setting up some demo days ;)

The only Dealers that do demo rides are individual H.D. Dealers, some BMW & Ducati dealers and that's about it. The only place that I know of to Demo ride more motorcycles is at Vintage Motorcycle Days in Lexington, Ohio in the end of July. The factories {almost all of them} bring certain bikes down that weekend for the Vintage Swapmeet & Races. People are aloud to demo ride and they don't go very far with them. They ride them on the race track's property only. I would say 95% of the Insurance companies that insure dealers in the USA do Not insure for test rides or demo rides of any kind. I know a H.D. dealer that does demo rides once a year and they get a special bond through the State of Ohio to do it.

I got in on the Buell tour a couple of years ago in Williamsport, PA. Being that it was a cold and dreary day, they gave us the long route for the demo ride. Ended up about 50 miles of twisty backroads. First time I ever did a stoppie. Those bikes have the most incredible brakes I've ever ridden!

I know triumph does demo days.

Well I dont think thier dealer bikes, but spring time is demo time, polaris is taking thier victories around and they will be here in a few weeks, hd is this weekend out here, and im waiting for kawasaki, not sure what day though... But basically I think the manufacturers have a set they go around with and take people on demo rides... thought it would be cool with some lifans ;) (Im in Canada though)
