Upgrading headlights on a 11o, max wattage?

Hey Guys,
One quad I got 2nd hand had every switch broke, the wires were a bowl of spaghetti, and the lights were missing all together. I have everything well on its way to cleaned up but I haven't selected a set of headlights yet. Anyone know how many watts can be safety pulled from a running ATV without drawing down the battery? I'm seeing lots of attractive LED options on Ebay...... I'm still trying to figure out a system that'll give driving lights, plus low / high beam to match the switchs and harness.

When i'm done, I'll post the wiring diagram. This one's a 4 pin ignition setup, and complete wire diagrams seems to be an endangered species, or at least everywhere I've looked! I'm about 95% through tracing it out and making sense of it all.

Thx,
Kelly

post a pic of your switch.. it should have low & high beams switches on it... and LEDS are good...

Here's an image of my switch...

I pulled it apart and traced all the wires. Got a new one on eBay and wired it in. Found countless options out there, but all with different button functions. Some show a turn signal on the switch I have for a kill, and a horn on what I have for a starter...

Just need to know what the maximum wattage I can pull is going to be. Does anyone know what Wattage you can pull from the motor's charging system?

An uneducated guess is about 36 watts total, but not for long. It's very easy to get ahead of these little batteries.

I recommend that you focus on LED's.

Which led would be ok to use as even those nice bright LEDs are around 25 watts

I think that 25 watts is about the limit. Try to find a fully enclosed LED light that fits your budget, eBay is your friend.

Consider fabricating a mounting plate that attaches to the handlebar clamps; that allows the light to turn with the front wheels and light up the path.

Only turn the light on when needed, to prevent battery discharge.

Are there any other LEDs under 25watts that are decent?
Or has anyone used the stator output but with the part to make it DC current so LEDs will work?
