Engine noise
 
IT does this rattling noise once it is warmed up and at a certain rpm anyone know what it is? Valves are adjusted

Lousy speaker on my tablet so hard to tell. You say valves are adjusted but are you sure it was done right?

Yes I followed the guide posted on here done it 10 different times to make sure it was right.

check oil for metal.... was it ever changed to the 10-40 oil ??? that is a good start ..

I changed the oil twice since I bought it i used 15w40 i haven't seen any metal in the oil

It sounds normal to me. All I heard is the normal taping of the valves.

So there that loud in these motors? I have never heard valves as loud as the sound i hear from it i work on motors all the time but not air cooled pushrod engines.

Yes they will be a little noisy. What do you have them set at. I have mine set at .002" intake and .003" exhaust.

You will be good at that. When you stop hearing the tapping you will know it's time to adjust valves.

Is there a place to buy crankshafts for these engines in the event that something does go wrong it seems to be the only part I cant find?

You can usually find them on Ebay, Taobao.com and here. http://www.motopartsmax.com/index.ph...21/eID/8/tID/2
Just have to check measurements to make sure you are getting the right parts.
