Hawk and the Eagle quadcopter day out!
I was planning a ride on the Hawk with all the upgrades I did recently. Then my "Eagle" quadcopter found out and wanted to tag along. Was a slightly windy day. The plan was the "Eagle" was going to follow me down the trail. It had a mind on its own. Maybe it spotted a rat or rabbit lol. Anyway, the Hawk and the "Eagle" made it back safely.

Nice video. I have the white Hubsan 501s. I updated the firmware on the quad and is alot more stable flying. The following me works alot better too. I plan on taking it out the next time I go to the spillway.

v1.1.21 on the transmitter. not sure if 1.2.12 exceeds 1.1.17 I heard they implemented a height limit. my latest plane is the Tundra by Hobby King. Its pretty big for a park flyer. Ouch for your daughter! that's pretty fast. |

Messing with firmware is like a crap shoot. You might fix one thing but something else may mess up. Mine is working too good. Like I always say. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I'm curious what the newer updates changed.

I have been tempted to take my Phantom 3 Pro with me on a couple of rides also. But I'm a little leary since I have more invested in the quad than the bike. I have thought about picking up a cheaper quad just for that purpose. How do you like the Hubsan products? I had a small cheap version for a short time.

I got mine For $200 when they 1st came out. Very nice quad for the money. With GPS mode it is super easy to fly. Transmitter does eat up regular batteries quick. I switched to Energizer AA Lithium Batteries and get 16-18 flights out of them. batteries are about $8-9 for a pack of 4 but cost less per flight than regular batteries. You can also solder in a plug to use with a rechargeable lipo battery.
