Bashan stallionNJ registration
I am hoping to buy a Bashan 250 Stallion.
http://www.apscusa.com/thumbnail.asp...maxx=50&maxy=0 How much are they going for? How hard is it to build ? I am pretty handy. Are there youtube videos?:hmm: How hard is it to Register in NJ? Does it work by VIN #s? |
They are going for about $1700. The Stallion is the same as the Storm and very similar to the Brozz except it has disk brakes front and rear were the Brozz has a drum brake at the rear. It also has the counter balance engine and is DOT approved so sohuldn't have no problems in NJ. They are fairly easy to put together. Assembly will be very similar to the Hawk, Brozz, Shark. Basically you have to install front wheel, handle bars, and plastic covers. Key to a good assembly is to remove and Loctite every bolt you can put your hands on, Change all fluids such as oil, fork oil and brake fluids. The stuff that come in them is garbage. If you buy one you will have tons of help here if you have any questions.

I bought the Stallion in black. :) It should be here next week. I'm hoping it doesn't arrive damaged. I have seen some bikes damaged in transit. Other than that I am psyched. I took my written test and passed by the skin of my teeth. (I cant believe how hard the test was.) I take my road test in 15 days. I may try to video the unboxing and build. I have a couple of videos that did well on youtube check out DOWMACHADO on youtube.
I will be updating my progress. and thanks JerryHawk |

I'm looking for a helmet under 100 or less plus a passenger helmet. What options should I be looking for?

if it is like my storm, the hard part was getting the shock bolt in by myself, but i did not have a jack at that time ... after that, it can be done in a couple hours, if you loctite everything and use dielectric grease on every connection ... the storm seemed to have good oil in it, but i did not risk it ... i would recommend a new headlight and some new jets. dont forget to set the valves before you start it and that is about it, mine rides nice with stock fork oil

Congrats on the new bike! I believe you could probably look over Motocheez's video(s) on building up his Hawk and Magician bikes (yes, I know not the exact same, but these tend to be similar across the board), and look up 'Bashan Storm' or 'Bashan Storm 250' on youtube. I know there were a couple of Chinariders members who had a few videos of their Bashans, but I do not recall if any were build videos; I do know that one is a valve adjustment video, so that will come in handy later on.

Valves and oils
I am still waiting for the bike  I ordered it on the 7-11 it should arrive on 7-27 My road test is on the 28th. I will probably have to postpone it .
I saw the video on the valves and oil. why do i need to space the valves properly? Does it harm the bike if they are to tight? I will use good engine oil. What's the best oil? Do I need to change the brake oil? Do I need to change the fork oil? Are Jets easy to replace? Thanks for all the input guys :thanks: I am looking online for helmets on amazon and now Walmart. |
Stallion/Storm Finally got it
1 Attachment(s)
I finally got the bike 08/01/17 . The shipping company didn't Handle with care. The metal crate arrived bent and the bike was laying on its side.
I was very nervous that the bike was damaged. but nothing major was damaged. It was my 1st build and it was a rough 1. a lot of screws fit in the same holes. I received a nut for the rear shock that didn't fit to well. I ended up stripping the screw but used it anyway. Im gonna call Don and see if he will send me the correct 1. Here are some pics. |
All I can say is wow. that is just wrong. You are lucky it survived the shipping.
The shipping company did not put it on its side it must have started out that way. |
This is not earning Don any credibility...
The Storm and the Enforcer are distributed by the same company--the Enforcer, at least through Don, seem to give members tremendous issues regarding ordering and shipping, but your experience with the Storm kind of proves my theory that this distributor is not reliable. |
Shipping Company?

I ordered a go kart from APSC and it of course came damaged by FED EX. Fedex agreed that they were at fault but Don just sent me the broken parts so I fixed it myself.
I told Don about it and I didn't expect him to send the parts but a few days later I got them in the mail. Don could own the China bike market if he could control the shippers and only sell what he has on US soil. The slow boat from China is not in transit as far as I'm concerned. Until it is in a US warehouse I would not sell it. UPOD is the best way to get happy customers. (Under Promise Over Deliver) |
