More Choices for Chinese Street Riding??

Anyone have wind of this? Lokks like a V-Twin?

they look like they would be fun little bikes, but cant see one lasting in my stable. eventually the newness would wear off and it'd be too underpowered for me.

Looks like there complicating 250cc with the twin double the parts. 17 hp, what is thetop hp on single 250's is it worth it, has a cool look factor to it.

Anyone with experience dealing with SSR Motorsports, and the bikes they sell.
I like the looks of the Bucaneer. But don't want to become interested in purchasing a troublesome motorcycle from an unreputable distributor or dealer.
:thanks:

I believe some of the bikes are built by Quingqi. I know the XF250 dual sport is built by them that SSR sells, and it's a top quality bike. It seems the Snake Eyes has the same UT250 Suzuki-type motor in it as the XF250 so I'd imagine it's also built by them. Good stuff, for sure. I'm not sure about the V-Twins.

Quingqi is the same manufacturer that made my QLink XP200 and it's a top-tier China bike on so many levels regarding plastics (the real, flexy, thick Japanese type stuff), metals (lots of alloys and aluminum) and general built quality, welds, etc.... It's "virtually Japanese". I'm just not sure about SSR themselves as a distributor. I get a sketchy feeling about them. One thing's for sure, if SSR goes away, someone will pick these bikes up to peddle here in the states. I think they're just having a hard time because it's hard to convince people to spend "twice a Hawk" on a China bike, regardless of how well they're built and the materials they use.

I'd like to give the V-Twins a good butt sniff though and find out who makes them......but that Snake Eyes is cool! I bet it moves along with that UT250 motor. The Rascal looks like it's made to go up against the Grom.

I know Lifan makes a 250cc V twin that is a clone of the Yamaha Virago 250 engine. It's supposedly very reliable just like the original Yamaha. Don't know if the SSR engine is a Yamaha clone.

I had to laugh at the bottom one ( Grom clone, , , kind of )
Hate the seat and fuel tank. Just my personal opinion.
Others may like it.
.
Chinese " Razkull "
Wt.: 225 lbs
Engine: 125cc , 8 horsepower
Transmission: 4 speed manual
.
Honda GROM :
Wt.: 225 lbs
Engine: 125cc , 8 horsepower
Transmission: 4 speed manual

Not sure if the Razkull is EFI or carbed. The Grom is EFI.

The Grom racing is hysterical. Looks like circus clowns on tricycles doing motocross. I bet it's fun as heck though!

I like. USA available?

I had posted something about these bikes on mychinamoto and resident brand expert 'MJH' who really knows his stuff responded that the top two bikes' manufacturer, the two 'Bucaneer' models is a company called Longjia, the 'Snake Eyes' is Pioneer (related to Qingqi), and the Razkull is Yingang.

Those are sweet. Love the Snake Eyes...... I won't be holding my breath on CARB Approved though! ;-)

Weldangrind 04-19-2016 12:16 AM

I like 'em both. Very progressive designs.

I want the v-twin to go with my Dong Fang DF250RTB-A. Got an email back that SSR is doing EPA certification on the bikes.

2LZ 04-19-2016 09:47 AM

Barnone, I've always really liked your bobber! Glad to see it's still alive and well! :-)
It's also good news that SSR has responded to you. As you know, they're the vendor of what used to be QLink/Konker bikes...which I have and it's been flawless. I was really up in the air between the SSR XF250 and the Zong/CSC TT250 and ended up ordering the TT250 just because of the sketchy SSR situation and CSC's excellent customer service and parts availability. PLus, many Hondoid parts are now available on Amazon!

My dealer quit carrying the SSR brand and the only place I can get one now is from the online box store warehouses. I was wanting a little more support than that. I'm hoping SSR makes more inroads with their lineup. They're very well-built bikes.
