Moto Baja

Moto Baja

The new book by Joe Berk.

I've read the three previous books, and wanted to take advantage of the CSC Black Friday discount.

That would be about $20 US. Not bad.

When I went to check out, the postage was $13.

Don't think I will be reading this one.

Edit: USPS Media rate (book rate) for a 1 pound package is $2.63

I ended up ordering it through Amazon.

Had to pay full price, $23.95 US plus FL sales tax.

Free shipping with Amazon Prime.

When I finish reading it, I'm willing to pass it along (free shipping to US address).

Thank you

JB:

Thanks for being a great reader and a loyal one, too.

I did not know about the shipping costs from CSC. I'll see Steve tomorrow and I'll ask about it.

I just received my copies a few hours ago and I am really pleased with how the book looks. This one emphasizes the photography (it's in color) and I used a program that allows me to get the photos in print at a much higher resolution. I think you'll like it.

If anybody wants a signed copy, I can do that for the copies ordered through CSC.

One more thing...we're setting up the Baja run for next March. If you or any other RX3 owner would like to ride with us, you are more than welcome. You'll have a great time. The riding and the places we see are awesome. As always, we're capping the number of participants at 15 riders, so let me know early if you want to go.

We'd be delighted to have you join us. Keep an eye on the CSC blog for the dates. All you need is an RX3 and a good attitude, and if you have one, you probably have the other. Let us know via email (info@cscmotorcycles.com) if you plan to ride with us. You should buy the book, too, to get a feel for what it's all about. Maybe buy two copies.

Cheers,

I was thinking the same thing? I would have this on my Kindle already if it was available!

Thanks

Thanks

It's coming, guys. Give me another few days. I did this one in InDesign to get better image quality in the printed version and I don't know yet how that will upload to Kindle.

I got the wife's approval to go. That was half the battle!

Just received my copy of Moto Baja. Thumbed thru it and have to say the pics are very good. Definitely a coffee table treasure. Only read the intro by Steve so far as I'm keeping it for the long winter nights coming up and need to finish Moto Columbia. I've really enjoyed reading all of Joe's CSC related books and feel like they (CSC ) are part of my moto family. Well done my friend, well done .

Thanks for the review. I went ahead and ordered it from Amazon rather than wait on the Kindle version. I want to see the pics!

:thanks:

Hi RJ,

Glad you received your book.

Look what happened to mine:

Re-ordered a replacement copy

I finally received Moto Baja.

Another good read by Joe Berk.

At 116 pages of light reading with lots of photos, it can probably be read in one sitting.

It took me 3 sittings, with time spent perusing the excellent photos, and my mind wandering...imagining a ride to Baja.....and being chased by wild dogs.....

And city is spelled ciudad in Spanish.... ;)

I noticed that CSC has adjusted the shipping options with UPS Ground being the least expensive.

Amazon Prime is still better with free shipping.
