Thanks J!

I'm grateful that you took the time to share that with us. I've considered putting an alarm on Son of Weldangrind's bike for when he rides it to school.

Most guys remove the alarms , they drain the battery and often fail and leave the owner not able to start there own scooter .

I tried removing my alarm, and the bike would not shut off; it simply ignored the key switch and kill switch. Plugging it back in solved it.

I then picked up two spare CDI's (from different sources), and one of them ignored the kill switches. Once I pick up a replacement battery, I'll disconnect the alarm and see if that CDI will allow the bike to shut off properly. I'd sooner dump the alarm, in case it does kill the battery.

John, do you have any tech help with removing the alarms? This same problem occurs on alot of the little atvs that came with alarms/remote starts etc.

there is in most cases one large plug that the alarm plugs into it needs to be unplugged . Then there is a plug with from an outside source that plugs to that plug and all is good .

I'm out away from home for a few days with the family , I have a harness in stock that has the other half of the plug that will complete the kill circuit . When I get home on Friday I will post a picture of it and post it .

That's awesome! Looking forward to that info.

Yes. I spent hours trying to get one of the atvs to run.
