Oil separator problem.
Unfortunately, but in my motorbike I am beginning to be annoyed by the rather rapid filling of the oil separator hose I have seen that this issue has already been raised on the forum, but has not been resolved the oil separator works by filtering the gas escaping from the crankcase and separating water with oil from fuel, But in the correct position of the separator too much petrol is deposited in the hose this is caused by too long fuel injection time on a cold engine I decided to do a test and started the bike immediately without waiting until the pump finishes adding fuel the result was that after a long trip, I came up with the idea to shorten the fuel injection time in the hod ecu hacker before the engine start. It could solve this problem and save some fuel.

I’ve had my crank case vent plumbed directly into the air box since 2016 and about 10k miles with no issues.

you have versions with injection or carburettor?

Fuel injection.

I see that in your case the solution to the problem was quite simple no separator no problem.

Yep, I removed it back in 2016. All it ever did was condense fuel vapors out of the crankcases that then had to be drained. Always seemed to collect more when riding in colder weather.
Every other motorcycle I’ve ever had just vents the crankcase directly to the air box so excess vapors are combusted. Also nice hydraulic clutch upgrade and case cover. Is there a case cover on the other side? |

Yes, I shielded everything I could.

I always wondered if it would make a difference just drilling a small hole in the plug at the bottom of the hose......

I removed the separator and put an ordinary tee to make the flow was free, and the plate holding the hose turned further, now the hose touches the engine and is heated up and gasoline evaporates while driving unfortunately not enough so in places marked in yellow I put steel elements and steel tee with mounting eye, and the weight going to the air box I change the hose for an insulated, so as to reduce heat loss then better evaporates the difference is significant, because after 1000 km collected so much earlier would be already full hose.

what is the hose diameter and where did you get it?
I want to get a new hose and a small valve at the end so I can drain the hose without getting my hands dirty :) |
