roketa mc-06 problems
I have a Roketa mc-06 that's backfiring when I rev it and sometimes just stops running. Also the lights dim at idle. Any thoughts before I go taking it apart? I'm probably gonna try adjustment of the idle speed first.

The backfiring indicates it is running very lean. Pull the carb and ensure the jets and passages are clean. Also check the intake manifold for tears in the rubber... or missing O-ring seals on the manifold and carb. Most CBs are jetted lean from the factory. When you remove your carb to clean and inspect the jets... note down the jets installed. Post up here which ones you got and we can give recommendations.
Also check the A/F mix screw setting... shouldn't be screwed all the way in (tight). Might also check you don't have an exhaust leak somewhere. Cheers! |
check the ignition timing has not slipped..
valve clearances for a tight valve.. PS... is it back fireing out the pipe or carb ? .. |
It's popping, like the exhaust pops when I receive it then let go. And it's a gy6 style engine not cb125 style engine.
