For W&G. The mower pile.

This is a bad view and only part of it.

No good ones for me to drag home today.

Holy cow. It looks like where old mowers go to die!

You don't happen to have a pile like that b ut for, lets say, Corvettes? :D

wjack57 10-29-2010 10:37 PM

Thats not a mower pile. Thats a possible pile.

katoranger 10-30-2010 09:33 AM

This is just the tip of the iceberg. I have explored quite of bit of this yard. He has some old stuff in the back. Only Chevettes though. Never seen a Corvette in here.

There was a Trail 70 sitting there, but it was extremely rough. I just couldn't see myself doing anything with it either.

I have pulled at least a dozen motorcycles, 5-6 garden tractors, tillers, and some other things from this pile.

Amen!

How does it work? Do you pay scrap metal prices for this stuff? I'd be all over a Trail 70, rough or not. I think it would be a blast with a China 125.

I want the bus. :D

FastDoc 10-30-2010 12:15 PM

Agreed!

Lord forgive me but I'm scanning CL for an old Honda horizontal with a blown engine really cheap to Lifanize. :P

On that subject I just completed the registration process for mine...

mizke 10-30-2010 09:02 PM

somewhere in that pile is a old mower just begging to be turbo'ed and raced

katoranger 10-30-2010 11:05 PM

I usually give about scrap value for whatever I haul out. I am sure I could get the trail 70 for about $30. Only problem is that is was missing so much and what it had was damaged. If it is still there on Tuesday when I go back I may pick it up.

Sometimes it is better to spend alittle more for a project to start with. I have learned that lesson a few times over.

I know I know, I just did it today, and I've been busy with work, and then we went to the Heat game, you should go some time if you haven't been yet... Anyways I will post about it in the other bike topic I have soon so as not to hijack this one too much further.

Wow! 8O Redneck paradise! :D I would rather browse the "mower pile" than any shopping mall! ;)

Oh, you don't dig too deep. You never know what might be living in there.

I was getting some parts out of suburban and I saw something slither under the seat. Those parts stayed.
