I really like the Yamaha, 4.1-gallon, XT225 fuel tank I installed on my Zong. :) I'm impressed you got that fuel tank mounted on your Viva.
I know, I know, the grass is greener, blah, blah--but if I could get one of those tanks on my TMEC, I would only need to fill up once a week....
So cool! Was the XT225 tank a direct fit? How did you figure that out?
I recommend that you remove that goofy ABS device on the front brake. It's the gold thing at the end of the brake hose.
Thanks spud! Your thread on installing it onto your Zong helped a lot!
Thanks w&g! Pretty much a direct fit when I mounted 2 hockey pucks on each side of the frame where the tank sits. I pretty much followed spuds instructions to his zong and instructions from a tw forum

Thanks zingshoen! Probably not, I like it black and "Frankensteiny" I made it from the original fender. Just cut it and bolted the front half on top to shorten it Bolted it with a small 90 degree angle bracket onto the toolbox threads on the frame. I hated how my tool box emulated an exhaust. It looked tacky. And I didn't like how the original license plate holder extended out super far. Replaced it with a UFO fender that had a brake light and just drilled signals on the sides. |
