Anyone Registered a Lifan in Maryland?

Does anyone on this board reside in Maryland, if so, how was the title and registration process?

I can't find much info about it, so i would like to know what is needed here, and what to expect overall.

Thanks a ton.

sorry frostbite, posted this in the incorrect forum. Thank you for moving it.

No you didn't. I created the forum after your post. I was just moving related posts from the DS forum to this one.

oh ok, cool, i was thinking to myself..... "did i even see that forum when i posted? must be going crazy... "

thanks anyway, its a good idea to have this seperate anyways, seeing as its not a technical question about the mechanicals of the bikes.

ok, well i have my mco on the way to t-motorsports so they can fill out that paperwork for me.

after that comes back i figure i will need these items of paperwork:

mco filled out by t-motorsports,
insurance policy info,
application for certificate of title,
bill of sale,
odometer disclosure statement (which im not sure if the dealer has to fill out)

its going to cost me: $97 for tags, $23 for title fees, $64.70 for taxes, and $150 bux for my year long insurance policy.

Thats about it in maryland. I will give more update to this.

t-motorsports faxed me back a filled out copy of my odometer disclosure statement today, so now im just waiting on my MCO to get back to me, and i will be good to go... :)

Just wait till you get to the DMV/MVD/BVD or whatever your state's is called. They will find some reason to not register you the first time, and the second time or maybe, if they are feeling really devious, the third time. (I think they produce in-house videos from hidden cameras called "your state's Motor Vehicle Division's funniest videos of suckers that we fool around with")

Now that I said all that, yours will go smoothly, and my plan to have the reverse happen will come true for you.

That's not funny, I had a "hook up/friend" at the DMV and he wasn't able to get' er done cause of his dumb b***h boss having to clear it, I was expecting that anyway though so I wasn't totally bumbed out, I just got a temp plate, HA, HA, I'm on the road... It cost $5 bucks for the first temp plate in FLA, $15 for every month after that, It cost me $157 to get it all titled and registered, at that rate I could have gone 11 months and had $2 for gas, I still have the temp plate on it, it's paper that I laminated, it don't rattle...

well i guess we will see... as soon as the mco comes back from t-motorsports filled out, i am going to get my bike on the road, i dont care who i have to slap repeatedly, im going to git er done..

with that said, i hope to have it tagged up next week, my helmet (and mohawk) should be in by then too... (my old helmet was too badly damaged to be ride worthy.. hehe)

I was ready to go to a couple different DMV's in order to get my china bike registered. I jumped through all the hoops they put before me. "Slap repeatedly". I like that.
