(genuine) nibbi pe28 for OHC 230 zong motor

so i decided to buy the pe instead of pz or pwk due the fact that i need the shortest carb to clear the frame

i understood that there are genuine nibbi and cheaper and not so good carbs with the nibbi logo engraved on

how to recognize a genuine nibbi? only by the retail price?

somebody knows an european based seller? or a chinese trusty one?

I can't help you with the NIBBI, as I have never owned one. My go to carburetor for PWK and PE when I am going to spend the money is a genuine OKO carburetor built in Taiwan. It is a copy again of the Japanese designs but must be good because the Chinese copied a copy with the OKO logo cast in and pass it off as the real deal.

I suspect it is popular in the Asian countries.

A genuine OKO you can only get in certain places and many times there is a national distributor too. They are not a flashy piece of machined aluminum they just get the job done. I own several and I like um. Don't mean to monopolize your carburetor threads, I just have strong opinions.

Carb does fine, just takes time to tweak it

They send a 112 & 115 main jet with the jet kit from CSC. 112 for stock exhaust and 115 for performance exhaust. I found that it didn't run like it should until I went to a 120 jet and added this easily adjustable air mix screw. So obviously I have the performance exhaust, but it runs amazing right now. 120 jet with air mix screw right at 1 3/4 turns out. The exhaust kit I bought comes with the jet kit and has the correct flange so it bolts right up to the engine. You have to get the 120 jet from Amazon or eBay, same with the screw. About that, the screw is for a Mikuni and doesn't fit, cut a flat head into the fixed air mix screw, cut the red one off and filed it down to a flat head. Then JB Welded it together. It's been the secret to getting the mixture correct and as I said, runs amazing now. (for a 229cc)

**looks like they're no longer making the exhaust for it**

That is a great idea on the idle mixture screw!

Thanks, it helps a lot to be able to adjust while test riding.

Forgot to mention with the 120 jet I set the needle at it's longest setting, all the way down in the carb. Air mix out 1 3/4 turns or so.
