Zongshen RX3 Parts Cross Reference: Please Contribute!

Spud

All these brake pads, rotors, foot pegs, foot pedals, windshields, etc.
So many forums these things are scattered about, it would be nice to have them in one place in one list.

Could you start a sticky of parts cross ref. that all could contribute to.

:thanks:

keithmaine 11-18-2015 08:47 AM

Oil filter is there just the CSC filters or is there another source??

Co2 11-18-2015 09:24 AM

ZS177MM / NC250 Clutch crossreference = Honda dominator 650 , NX 650 EBC CK1170 series dimensions bit tight tolarance 0.01-2mm , same, i used that on my ZS177MM / NC250 confirmed

Note : originals better , only use if cant find original clutchs, just instead exigency (on travel need repair or...)

I think this thread is an excellent start for that project, Keith. I am pinning this thread to the top of this forum. :) As members contribute equivalent parts to this thread, I will compile an organized list of parts. I will place that organized list in a closed thread, which I will also pin to the top of this forum. :)

Thank you, Sir!

I always suspected the RX3 clutch parts were Honda parts. ;) Here is a list of the Honda motorcycles which employ the same friction plates, fiber plates, and clutch springs as the Zongshen RX3.

Honda XR650L
Honda XR600R
Honda NX650
Honda CR500R
Honda CR480R
Honda CR250R

A lot of people like the Tusk Clutch Kits you can purchase from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. :)

Until someone discovers otherwise, I don't know of another oil filter which fits the ZS177MM/NC250 engine of the Zongshen RX3.

However, I purchase stainless steel, reusable oil filters for my RX3 from Taobao. They do an excellent job protecting the engine, and are much less expensive than replacing paper oil filters. ;)

https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm...cket=10#detail

https://gd4.alicdn.com/bao/uploaded/...0-item_pic.jpg

However, I wouldn't be surprised if a BMW or KTM motorcycle employs these oil filters. ;)

I have posted a thread with confirmed parts which fit the Zongshen RX3. This closed thread is pinned to the top of this forum, at the following link.

http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=15532

Please post your confirmed parts in this thread, and I will add those parts to the closed list. :) If I forget to add any items to the closed list, please don't hesitate to inform me in this thread. ;) Thank you.

Thanks for the input. Indeed, I will add those connectors to the list. I also know the connectors for the headlight, and the ECU diagnostic port. ;)

Are the Honda, clutch fiber plates the same thickness as the RX3, clutch fiber plates? If you have the opportunity, please also measure the thickness of the RX3, clutch metal plates.

When I have time, I will also check the dimensions of the clutch plates in my Honda CRF250X.

Okay. The Honda, fiber clutch plates are okay, but the metal clutch plates are too thick.

When you have time, please do measure the thickness of the metal clutch plates in your engine. Also, please measure the thickness of the Honda, fiber clutch plates. We are happy to wait. Take your time, we are not in a hurry. ;)

Danimal 12-07-2015 10:49 PM

so this guy got bored and painted his RX3 to resemble a GS

What I want to know is what adjustable clutch and brake levers did he use? What levers are compatible? I would like adjustable Chinese machined levers please

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater

SpudRider 12-07-2015 11:11 PM

I don't know for certain, but I think he probably switched the clutch perch, and likely switched the clutch cable as well. Did he change the brake lever, also? I don't frequent Facebook, and I only see the one photograph. ;)

Danimal 12-07-2015 11:16 PM

I'm assuming it's the stock perch. Most adjustable levers sold are for stock perch.
We just need to know which bike's lever is a match

like these
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Short-CNC-Ad...hU9rUz&vxp=mtr

SpudRider 12-07-2015 11:37 PM

Yes, I understand. However, based upon my past experience with Chinese bikes, I'm guessing he is not using the stock perch. However, I hope I'm wrong.

Is he an active member over there? Can you ask him that question on Facebook? I really don't know much about Facebook. ;)

The HiFlow filter website lists the dimensions of all their oil filters. If anyone wishes to search the catalog, he might be able to find an equivalent oil filter for the RX3. ;)

SpudRider 12-12-2015 05:00 PM

The people at CSC are always very helpful. I just talked to Gerry in the service department, and he told me the thread for the radiator fan switch is 16 mm in diameter. These switches will occasionally fail, so It's good to have a spare switch on hand. However, these switches are always sold with the complete radiator, rather than alone. ;)

I believe the following, radiator fan switch is equivalent to the switch employed by the Zongshen RX3. It is a switch designed for the following Suzuki and Kawasaki motorcycles.

Suzuki

GSX-R600 97-05
GSX-R750 96-08
VL/VZ800 01-11
DL1000 V-Strom 03-09
GSX-R1000 01-04
SV1000 03-07
TL1000R/S 98-03
GSX-R1300 “Hayabusa” 99-07

Kawasaki

Ninja ZX-6R 2003-2004
ZX636 2003-2004
ZX600 2003-2004

It seems the Delphi 28086011, Delco 12232201 MAP sensor is equivalent to the MAP/MAT sensor of the Zongshen RX3. Just make sure you get a 4-pin connector (MAT). It's best if the sensor has a sticker which labels the 4 pins: VOut, 5V, MAT, GND.

It seems the solenoid purge valve for the evaporative emissions canister is the Delphi 1997278, ACDelco 214-641 unit. :)
