Well that was just Cheestastic

Weather is kinda crummy and I still have my sinus thing going so I didn't take it out today. I did though, for grins, put the Iridium plugs back in. Pull the choke, hit the starter button and running in a half a revolution.

Back in the shop and bored already. Better to be bored at home than on the road, I guess.
Messed around some with the CX today after having the battery on the trickle charger overnight. After six years, I think it may be time for new AGM. Darn bright lights, though.

Ran her for about twenty minutes this afternoon. Too crappy out to throw a leg over and go for a ride. Heck, even too crappy to ride the Ural today. Horizontal rain and 45mph winds. The Jeep was even complaining.

Six years is a pretty good run for an AGM.

Put the new battery in yesterday and took the beast out for lunchtime spin today. :) Kinda nice to ride something that actually accelerates. Took me a few minutes to forget that I can't upshift with my heel, though.:ohno: The retraining only took a couple of miles. My biggest worry was that I'd forget to put my foot down at a stop sign.

However, after almost six months of riding the Ural, I can safely say that the brakes on the CX really do suck.:wtf:

I wonder if I can put a four piston Brembo on?

Anything is possible after you fabricate a mounting bracket for it

Sounds like a job for Outhouse Engineering and Fabrication. But I think a twin piston caliper from a CB900 is a bolt on.

Got it home yesterday afternoon. Was a fun and uneventful ride. Even remembered to put my foot down at every stop. Apparently, I am smart enough to adapt to two different riding styles in the same day.

There is now the Honda, Ural, two Solexes, Fat Ass Wally, my cousins' Sears three speed, three welders, two plasma cutters, pony torches, three rollaround tool boxes, and a thirty gallon air compressor taking up floor space in the garage. Need to make room for the Desoto later this spring. So, somethings have gotta go. Soon to be looking for new homes for a few of the two wheeled toys and re configuring the layout of the garage.

Stay tuned.

I can really use a welder if you have an extra one taking up too much space :lmao:

One of the three is a small home built 110v AC/DC stick welder my ex neighbor gave me when he moved. He must not have liked me because it's such a pain to use, so it's destined for the curb. But you're more than welcome to come and get it.:hehe:

Cheesy, time to go vertical in that garage. What about that new backyard shed?

I would if I could, BB but there are two bedrooms and a bathroom above the garage.

As to the shed, I'm trying to keep that from getting like the garage.

Most likely going to let go of the Solexes and Fat Ass Wally.

Been riding the CX this week. No issues with the Ural, just giving it a break. Man, that 0 to 60 under 5 seconds is fun. Still thinking about finding it a new home but Mrs. C is telling me not to. Ditto with the Solexes. I do need some walking around room and Dad is getting antsy about me getting the Desoto out of his barn.

Weldangrind 09-29-2017 11:19 AM

Sounds like it's time for a bigger place with more storage. That would solve everything for me.
