Been silent here for almost a month. Back in mid September, I sent an email to Harold, Al, Eric, and HR telling them that December 31st would be my final day. I’m done with the BS lying.

Harold and I have been meeting for breakfast once a week and he keeps asking if I’ve changed my mind yet. He also likes to tell me that I couldn’t retire before he does and he doesn’t want to stay on if I don’t.

This morning I asked him if he’s finally considering throwing in the towel. He said he’s not sure, then I hit him with Claude is dead and buried. Our old MTM is buried next to him. I told him that I know that you put your heart into making MTM a going concern. Jason knows that; Bill, Keith, Wade, and Scooter(sales guys that started when I did) know that. Christ, even Al knows that. The problem with Al is that he is only in this for Al and he doesn’t give a sh!t what you or the rest of us did. The new management team doesn’t listen to us. Follow me out the door and enjoy yourself.

He looked me in the eye and said that he just might.

Other than that, things at Beaufort are still FUBAR and getting worse.

Well, more of the same.

Brand new 360 delivered to the customer and it's leaking so bad that it should be designated a Super Fund site. Jeez, even the master cylinder is leaking.

The Morons In Management(forever hereafter known as MIM)requested that Seth stay with the machine and correct it on site. Seth gave them the middle finger.

They called Jason. Jason gave them two middle fingers.

They regretfully called me...two middle fingers, a full moon, several F-bombs, along with telling them this has not been a Service Issue since 2018, but a Production Issue and they can fix it.

Ten minutes after my response, Harold called. Jason and I are meeting him for breakfast tomorrow. I think he may finally have to grow a spine seeing as his entire staff has said, "ENOUGH".

get the guys who built it to go out and fix their messes a few times and maybe they'll start paying more attention. Or...they just view it as a vacation trip away from the plant and don't learn a thing. :(

This has fallen on deaf ears and I agree with the vacation scenario. The Service staff has been pushing for the Production Manager on down to be held accountable for this mess, but we're still waiting.

60 more days. Possibly less.

The last couple of days have been interesting.

Two months ago, I was asked to chase down some manufacturers part numbers for a sealing ring and a hydraulic fitting compression ferrule. I did that and provided sources where the parts could be had.

Monday, one of my emergency back up daughters (EBUD) in Customer Service let me know that Purchasing claims that the numbers I gave them were no good and the parts couldn't be found in North America. Bullshit.

Yesterday, I went to my Go To hydraulic shop and walked out with ten 15mm ferrules in my pocket for the princely sum of $13. I UPS'ed them to the EBUD for $14. The thing that pissed me off about the ferrules is that we stocked the damn things but the new Inventory Control System has no record of them and the idoITs in IT deleted the old system that us old guys could run with our eyes closed. Apparently, they won't be found until inventory rolls around.

The Sealing Rings...a government entity wants OEM. We've never sold just the sealing rings, it is part of the hydraulic fitting but it is available from the manufacturer separately. The customer will not accept a 'same but different' fitting without reams of paperwork. So, from the comfort of my easy chair, I called the US distributor, who does not do retail, but they put me in contact with a Canadian distributor that does. I called them and they had the sealing rings in stock and under the part number I gave Purchasing, "How many do ya need?" They gave me a quote for ten pieces and I forwarded the quote to the EBUD, with instructions to have the CEO attach a note to it for Purchasing, that the parts were to be ordered TODAY WITH ZERO EXCUSES. Total time on my part, 15 minutes.

The EBUDs know I'm done at the end of the year. The one I was working with asked if she could pay me a retainer to help with this kind of stuff. She said she couldn't pay cash but offered up homemade cookies. I may take her up on that.

Way back in August, I did all the leg work for our brain dead PA and his equally brain dead assistant to find part numbers and sources in North America for some Euro built rooftop AC units on a couple of motorcars, among other things. It turned out that the company that built the AC units had changed hands a couple of times.
Anyway, I finally tracked down the current owner and got their part numbers for what was needed to fix the units. This was in early September. I emailed all the info to the PA and cc'd the Tres Amigos, Eric, Al, and Harold.

Today, the dumsh!t PA emails Al, Harold, and myself an old parts catalog from the original manufacturer and asks us to pick the parts we need for the AC units.

1-The catalog was from the original manufacturer.

2-Part numbers are not current nor are the parts needed listed in the catalog.

3-Dumsh!t replied to the original email thread.

4-The parts numbers for the parts needed were in the original email thread.

Al called him out and finally read him the riot act. Too little, too late. I called Al to tell him that I had 16 days left and even if he canned the PA, PM, CE, FM, and TL, he hasn't got enough money to make me change my mind.

I fear this will be the end of an epic thread.....Netflix doesn't have anything comparable to cheesy drama.

Hey! Maybe Netflix will do a cheesy mini-series! Or maybe eight seasons! And cheesy gets the say on who plays him. Maybe The Rock.....

Oh, my sweet summer child. This reads like a k-drama.

Maybe Jason Statham? They could age his face a little and stick glasses on him.

Oh heck, let's go all out. Henry Cavill. Pulls open his shirt to reveal a blue costume with a small letter "c" on it.....
